Home Call: Boushra Mikhael

Brother Boushra MikhaelOur dear brother in the Lord, Boushra Riad Mikhael, passed into the presence of His Savior this morning after a long battle with cancer. He was an encouragement to God’s people throughout North America and other continents.

He wrote many articles on the Scriptures for COUNSEL Magazine and other publications. He also authored 2 books, one of which has yet to be published. The other, Dining with the Master, surveys scenes where the Lord Jesus is eating with people in the New Testament. His itinerant Bible teaching was analytical and edifying. He held to the authority of the Word of God as supreme in all things and sought to exalt the Lord Jesus in his written and spoken ministry.

He served for many years as an elder in the Rideauview assembly of Ottawa and later faithfully helped the saints at the assembly in Markham, ON. He also served on the board of Galilee Bible Camp, the Rise Up international conferences, the Ontario Workers and Elders conference, and taught at many Bible conferences as far away as Singapore.

Perhaps most of all, he will be missed for the wise counsel and private ministry that he imparted to many young people in his home throughout the years. This author counted him as a father in the faith and recalls many conversations that encouraged him to faithfully go on in service for the Lord. Please remember his dear wife, Nadia Mikhael, his sons, Sam and Joe and their families, and the other relatives and friends as they grieve during this time of temporary separation.

  1. Boushra was one of my elders in Ottawa for many years and I had the privilege to be in his home countless times. He had the best smile. I learned a lot from him and he will be a great miss. He is with his Saviour now.

  2. I was privileged to know Boushra and he will be missed amongst the many saints who gather in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ across US, Canada and overseas. Our prayers are with Nadia Mikhael, his sons, Sam and Joe and their families, and the other relatives and friends as they grieve during this time of temporary separation.
