Audio: The Book Of Obadiah

Edom Petra

Obadiah 1:3-4

This morning I had the privilege of preaching God’s Word. My subject matter was the little book of Obadiah– the shortest book of the Old Testament (only 21 verses in length). While the book may be short in length, it contains a very powerful message with numerous lessons for today.

Thank you for this message. I never paid attention to this book before, but read it because of the Torah reading schedule. Your teaching pointed out things I wouldn’t have seen on my own.
I do not agree with you that Jesus will come for his bride before the tribulation. He’s only coming once more; his second coming. If the rapture is pre-trib, he’d have to have a third coming. I see no evidence of this in Scripture. Please let me know what Scripture you find to support a third coming.
This is a critical point, I think, because faithful believers will suffer greatly and be incapable of remaining faithful without having trained for the soon coming battle. How many of us think we’re ready for judgement, yet are not committed to the King’s ways?
Yahweh has made his expectations clear: the Messiah is coming to claim his spotless bride. Compromise is not spotlessness. Easter and Christmas are not appointed feasts. Sunday is not the Sabbath. The church is sick and sinning.
The lessons of Obadiah are timely – the day of Yahweh is so near. We must be diligent to obey the Word alone, or we fall prey to the evil one, dragging our loved ones with us.
May the Holy Spirit guide you and angels protect you as you work for his glory, in the mighty name of Jesus Messiah.
