1 Corinthians 7:6-9 Promoting Single Life



But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn 1 Corinthians 7:6-9 KJV


If you are single you might feel at times that everyone expects you to be married. It would seem that it is the norm to be married but many people live all of their life without getting married. In this passage Paul promotes the single life. He shows how it is advantageous if you want to devote your life to serving God. The Lord Jesus, as recorded in the gospels, taught that some people are single for the Kingdom of God’s sake. As you watch this video bible teaching clip you will learn that God calls us all to different lifestyles – some to be single and some to be married.
