In reference to King Hezekiah, his father King Ahaz and his son King Manasseh:

 

One cannot help but wonder how Hezekiah could be so good with a father so bad and how a father so good could have a son so bad. This clearly shows that heredity and environment do not necessarily determine and excuse a person’s character. Each one is responsible for the development of his own character before God whether there is a good background or a poor one. God is able to work in the life of anyone who wants to please Him.
