Free Logos eBook: George Müller’s Jehovah Magnified

Every month, Logos Bible Software offers a free eBook.

This month (September 2013) Logos is offering a book that you may be interested in downloading: George Müller’s Jehovah Magnified which is a collection of some of Brother Müller’s sermons.

Of the 34 public addresses included in the book one immediately caught my eye: “Love One Another.” The address caught my eye because the Lord has used a number of different means (here, here & others) to draw my attention to the “one another” admonitions in the New Testament.

In the address Brother Müller says:

What are the great hindrances to brotherly love and unity? Self-complacency, high-mindedness, pride, and thinking that we know more than others; but if, by God’s grace, we are enabled to subdue these evil tendencies, and to love our fellow-believer, and be united to him, we shall see, perhaps, that if in one thing we have more grace or knowledge than he, yet in four, or five, or ten points he has more than we. Who am I that I should despise my brother? What have I that I have not received? If I have more grace (though that is yet to be questioned), I received it from my Lord. If I have more knowledge (though that is yet questionable), am I indebted for it to my own mind? How does it come? It is by the grace of God that I know more than my fellow-believer.*

Very challenging words, indeed!

Why We Web

Dr. Phil— the popular television psychologist— recently found himself in the middle of a self made firestorm. He tweeted something that many found to be very offensive.

He quickly deleted the tweet, but it was too late. The firestorm had already begun.

Check out my WWW article for more on this unfortunate event, and a reminder from God’s Word that we would do well to remember…

In the beginning God was there… when the app store first opened there were only 200 free apps available. One of the free apps was God’s Holy Word… specifically YouVersion’s Bible App for iOS.
