Speaking of Isaiah 6:3 – “His holiness is… His unapproachable and unique moral majesty before which sinful humankind instinctively quakes (Judges 6:22; 13:22). Secondly, just as holiness is the ‘whole truth’ about God himself, so it is the ‘whole truth’ about His immanence in creation: the whole earth is full of his glory. Holiness is the Lord’s hidden glory; glory is the Lord’s omnipresent holiness.”

“When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel.” Judges 2:10
Every generation of God’s people have the solemn responsibility to effectively pass along God’s truth to the next generation.
When Joshua was given the responsibility to lead the Nation of Israel “something went right”— After the death of Moses, Joshua and his generation successfully stood up and took on the reigns of godly leadership. Joshua 1:1ff.
Unfortunately, when Joshua’s generation passed away and another generation arose “something went wrong.” Judges 2:7-13 and following. What went wrong? And what can we learn from those failures?
