The Hunt: Working SMART

In personal and business development, someone came up with this handy acronym for getting things done: S.M.A.R.T. goals. Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic and Timely goals so that you’re not amorphously trying to accomplish everything and succeeding in accomplishing nothing.

The same thing can happen when you become the proud owner of a new Perfect E-bible. I’ve already mentioned that you need to pin down what you want, you need to know what’s out there, and you need to understand some basic terminology to help you on your way. But no matter what, you need to apply some S.M.A.R.T strategies to managing your data, securing your computer, and ultimately protecting yourself—be it from random events (like catastrophic computer failure) or malicious attack (like being hacked).
